Feds won't say if U.S. agreed to suspend trade deal with China until Cdns freed

Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne is refusing to say how Washington responded to Canada’s request that it hold off on signing a trade deal with China until Canadian prisoners are released. Champagne told The Canadian Press today it wouldn’t be in the interests of Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig for him to speak publicly about ongoing negotiations for their release from Chinese detention.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told a French-language TV network on Thursday he had asked the United States not to sign any final trade agreement with China until the Canadians have been released. Champagne says many things are happening to secure the release of the two Canadians and that no other foreign-affairs file is receiving more attention. It has been more than a year since Beijing detained Spavor and Kovrig in apparent retaliation for Canada’s arrest of a top Chinese tech executive, Meng Wanzhou. The Globe and Mail reported Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said today that Canada’s request to the U.S. was “doomed to fail.”

Canadian drug distributors say no to Trump import plan

Many of Canada’s drug suppliers cannot, or will not, agree to ship cheaper prescription medicines into the United States, a new challenge to the Trump administration’s push to reduce drug prices, companies and industry officials told Reuters. The administration on Wednesday proposed new regulations that would allow states to import prescription drugs from Canada. They would require a state such as Florida to partner with a wholesaler licensed by Health Canada, which regulates drugs. Florida and other states have said they are eager to start importation programs, and the proposal took the federal government one step closer to approving that plan. But there are practical barriers to actually bringing in drugs. Two drug distributors and two Canadian industry groups that between them represent all of the potential suppliers named in a proposal published by Florida in August said they are not interested in participating. “We have not been contacted and we are not planning to participate,” said Loblaw Companies Ltd, which owns Canada’s largest pharmacy chain Shoppers Drug Mart. “Canadian patients currently face product and drug shortages and we are concerned this initiative may exacerbate what is already a critical issue.” Daniel Chiasson, president of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM), said none of its members would participate because their first priority was ensuring a safe and stable supply of medication for Canadians. “It surprised everyone when their names appeared on that list,” said Chiasson. Mary Mayhew, secretary of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, said she was “excited and enthusiastic” about Wednesday’s announcement.

“We are optimistic that Canadian suppliers will be interested, as the rule is understood, as there is more dialog around this new and historic federal action,” she said. Chiasson said agreements between manufacturers and distributors prevent the export of products made for the Canadian market, creating a commercial risk and deterrent to exporting. “These are issues we continue to consider and are committed to exploring how we might overcome any challenges and issues as we advance the proposed rule,” U.S. Food and Drug Administration spokesman Michael Felberbaum said in a statement. Some of Canada’s major distributors are subsidiaries of U.S. companies, who are unlikely to participate in a program to lower prices, since their revenue reflects a cut of the value of the drugs they provide to pharmacies in the much larger U.S. market. McKesson Canada, a subsidiary of McKesson Corp referred questions to Chiasson. The organization is also a listed member of the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies Canada, a lobby group that opposes drug exports to the United States. AmerisourceBergen said that protecting bottom lines was not the issue, because importation implied that distributors could buy low-cost drugs and sell them in high-cost markets. “The reality is that legal and contractual barriers, as well as significant threat to the integrity of the supply chain, all stand in the way of importation being a viable solution,” it said in a statement. Kohl & Frisch, a large closely-held distributor, did not respond to requests for comment. Metro Inc which owns major pharmacy chain Jean Coutu, declined to comment. One company on Florida’s list is not a distributor in any traditional sense, but makes self-serve pharmacy kiosks that resemble vending machines. They confirmed they would have no role in any import plan. The remaining companies are members of the Association quebecoise des distributeurs en pharmacie, which takes the same position as CAPDM. “Our members have no intention to sell drugs across the border, particularly in light of the rapidly increasing drug shortages in the Quebec marketplace,” said director general Hugues Mousseau in a statement.

U.S. Navy bans TikTok from government-issued mobile devices

Earlier this week the United States Navy banned the social media app TikTok from government-issued mobile devices, saying the popular short video app represented a “cybersecurity threat.” A bulletin issued by the Navy on Tuesday showed up on a Facebook page serving military members, saying users of government-issued mobile devices who had TikTok and did not remove the app would be blocked from the Navy Marine Corps Intranet. The Navy would not describe in detail what dangers the app presents, but Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Uriah Orland said in a statement the order was part of an effort to “address existing and emerging threats.” TikTok did not return a request for comment. TikTok is hugely popular with U.S. teenagers but has come under scrutiny from U.S. regulators and lawmakers in recent months.

The U.S. government has opened a national security review of the app’s owner Beijing ByteDance Technology Co’s $1 billion acquisition of U.S. social media app Musical.ly, Reuters first reported last month. Last month, U.S army cadets were instructed not to use TikTok, after Senator Chuck Schumer raised security concerns about the army using TikTok in their recruiting. A Navy spokesman said Naval and Marine personnel who use government-issued smart devices are generally allowed to use popular commercial apps, including common social media apps, but from time to time specific programs that present security threats are banned. He would not give examples of apps that are allowed or those considered unsafe. The Pentagon’s Orland said the “Cyber Awareness Message” sent Dec. 16 “identifies the potential risk associated with using the TikTok app and directs appropriate action for employees to take in order to safeguard their personal information.”

Australia faces catastrophic fire conditions as temperatures soar to 40C

Temperatures above 40C and strong winds created “catastrophic” conditions on Saturday for firefighters battling more than 100 fires burning across New South Wales state, while in South Australia one person was found dead in a fire zone. Some roads outside Sydney were closed and authorities asked people to delay travel, at the start of what is normally a busy Christmas holiday period, warning of the unpredictability of the fires as winds of up to 70 kph (44 mph) were set to fan the flames. “Catastrophic fire conditions are as bad as it gets,” NSW Rural Fire Services Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons told journalists. “They are the very worst of conditions. Given we have a landscape with so much active fire burning, you have a recipe for very serious concern and a very dangerous day.” Greater Sydney and two surrounding areas were rated as catastrophic for Saturday, and other areas were at extreme or very-high fire danger ratings. Close to 10,000 emergency personnel would be working across NSW on Saturday. The state’s Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliott described it as probably the largest emergency deployment ever seen in NSW. A southerly wind change is expected late on Saturday afternoon.

It is forecast to bring winds of up to 90 kph (56 mph), which Fitzsimmons said would initially worsen fire conditions before leading to a dramatic drop in temperatures. The death of two firefighters on Thursday night when their fire truck was struck by a falling tree as it traveled through the front line of a fire brought the wildfires death toll in New South Wales to eight since the start of October. Shortly after the two deaths were announced, Prime Minister Scott Morrison issued a statement saying he would return as soon as possible from a family holiday in Hawaii, a trip that had drawn sharp criticism as the wildfires crisis deepened. In South Australia, authorities said one person had been found dead, another was critically injured and 15 homes had been destroyed by a fire in the Adelaide Hills, just 40 kilometers (25 miles) east of the state capital of Adelaide. The death followed another fatality in South Australia on Friday, the result of a car crash in an area where an emergency fire warning was in place. Authorities said 23 firefighters suffered injuries on Friday as the parts of the state endured catastrophic fire conditions. In the state of Victoria, 15 blazes were burning out of control on Saturday morning, with an emergency warning placed on two in the state’s east. Australia has been fighting wildfires across a number of states for weeks, with blazes destroying more than 700 homes and nearly 3 million acres (1.2 million hectares) of bushland.

N.Korea warns U.S. could 'pay dearly' for human rights criticism

North Korea lashed back at the United States for taking issue with its human rights record on Saturday, saying Washington’s “malicious words” would only aggravate tensions on the Korean Peninsula, state news agency KCNA reported. The KCNA statement, attributed to a foreign ministry spokesperson, warned that if the United States dared to take issue with the North’s system of government by citing human rights problems, it would “pay dearly.” The United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday condemned North Korea’s “long-standing and ongoing” violations of human rights in an annual resolution sponsored by dozens of countries including the United States, that Pyongyang’s U.N. envoy rejected.

The North Korean Foreign Ministry statement is its first since U.S. special envoy for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, publicly urged Pyongyang on Monday to return to talks. There has been no direct response from North Korea to Biegun’s entreaty. North Korea has conducted a series of weapons tests in recent weeks and some experts say the reclusive state may be preparing for an intercontinental ballistic missile test that could put it back on a path of confrontation with the United States. North Korea has repeatedly called for the United States to drop its “hostile policy” before more talks, as its self-imposed year-end deadline for denuclearisation negotiations approaches.

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Trailer Tease Lights Up Twitter

The official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 is dropping tomorrow, debuting at Brazil’s Comic Con Experience. Since it’s a world now where trailers have their own trailers, a short teaser was released today on Twitter for the full-length trailer, which will debut on Sunday. The 24-second video shows plenty of action, and it’s driving fans on Twitter absolutely wild. Wonder Woman became a trending topic within an hour of the trailer tease, with fans mostly focusing on one specific shot in the clip. The tease starts out with Diana Prince in her full Wonder Woman gear, with brighter looking armor than the previous film. A security guard appears to be firing at Diana as she whips around her Lasso of Truth. Diana then grabs a gun which is about to be fired at her, ejects a bullet, and then hits it with one of her wrists guards, presumably changing its trajectory toward someone else.

“Nothing good is born from lies, and greatness is not what you think,” Diana says in a voiceover as a few more action shots take place.

It’s when Wonder Woman is flying in the air with her Lasso that she attaches it to a bolt of lighting and seemingly swings from the bolt itself that has fans absolutely freaking out.

“Diana Prince swinging through lighting. That’s it. That’s the tweet,” one user tweeted.

“SHE’S SWINGING ON BOLTS OF LIGHTNING ASGHHSZSWRTCGVNNNAAAHHH,” another wrote.

The clip also appears to start off with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) saying “the world needs you,” just before he is spotted in the trailer at two separate times. His appearance doesn’t steal the show as he is only in the background for two brief moments, but he will likely appear front and center in the full trailer tomorrow.

Steve’s return was confirmed by director Patty Jenkins last year when she tweeted a photo of Chris Pine on set wearing an ’80s throwback tracksuit and some vintage Nike sneakers.

There was no appearance from Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah in the trailer tease, and it’s not known if she will show up in the full-length trailer or not.

The trailer is expected to premiere at 3:30 p.m. ET tomorrow. It will be livestreamed on the official Wonder Woman Twitter account. Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot will be at the panel when the trailer premieres, so fans should stay close to their computers to see if anything else can be found out before or after its debut.

Wonder Woman 1984 premieres on June 5, 2020.

The Walking Dead: Alpha and Negan’s “Formidable Twosome” Flips the Show on Its Ass

Move over, Beta (Ryan Hurst): the pairing of Whisperer Alpha (Samantha Morton) and the newly inducted Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) means this “formidable twosome” is flipping The Walking Dead “on its ass,” according to Morgan. A fugitive Negan entered into Whisperer territory in 10x05, “What It Always Is,” before winning Alpha's approval in 10x06, “Bonds.” To the surprise of Beta, who left Negan to die by walkers, Negan returned with a pledge made to an impressed Alpha: “I’m all in. Whatever you want, whatever I got, it’s yours.” We’ll find out how true that is when Alpha sniffs out a traitor within her camp as the flipped Gamma (Thora Birch) provides Alpha’s enemies with inside information. “This year has been a lot about playing off of paranoia and what side are people on, and I think Negan and Alpha together are a formidable twosome,” Morgan said on Talking Dead following TWD's Season 10 midseason finale. “It’s bad news for our heroes. And what it means for the show is we’re gonna flip it on its ass.”

It remains to be seen if the Alpha-Negan pairing will play out as it did in creator Robert Kirkman's comic books, but showrunner Angela Kang previously remarked the story will escalate “very, very fast” when the conflict between the survivors and the Whisperers comes to a head in the back half of the season. “We’ve trapped a bunch of people in a cave full of walkers, so we have to tell that story. So, that’s definitely going to be a big part of when we pick back up,” Kang told EW. “Obviously, we have Negan embedded with the Whisperers, so we’ll continue to kind of tell the story that’s involved there. And then, not necessarily specific to the episode back, but just as a whole, at this point now some lines have been crossed, right? The border has been crossed by both sides. There have been these acts of war and so things are now escalating very, very fast. And we kind of get to the big conflict between the Whisperers and our people.” Alpha sent Whisperer spy Dante (Juan Javier Cardenas) to infiltrate Alexandria and sabotage it from the inside, but the Alexandrians now have their own insider: Gamma is feeding the Alexandrians information that could prove pivotal in the rescue of the trapped Aaron (Ross Marquand), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride) and Hilltop group Connie (Lauren Ridloff), Kelly (Angel Theory), Jerry (Cooper Andrews) and Magna (Nadia Hilker).

Ming Na-Wen Celebrates Her Star Wars Debut in The Mandalorian

Ever since Agents of SHIELD star Ming-Na Wen was announced to be appearing in the Disney+ series Star Wars: The Mandalorian at D23 Expo earlier this year, fans have been clamoring to find out how the actress would factor into the series. This week sees the debut of her character Fennec Shand, a highly skilled assassin who is only concerned with survival after being targeted by the bounty hunter's guild. This role makes gives her a Triple Crown in Disney's properties, as she's now been a Disney Princess in Mulan, a Marvel superhero, and now made a trip to the Star Wars galaxy. To celebrate her big debut on Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Wen posted on social media in commemoration of the occasion.

The latest episode shows Fennec come face to face with the Mandalorian and his new ally Taro Calican, played by Jake Cannavale, during the bounty hunter's brief stint on Tatooine. Unfortunately, things don't turn out well for Fennec, but Wen had a great time making the episode. During a previous interview with Vanity Fair, Wen revealed some of the inspirations for her intrepid assassin in the Star Wars galaxy. “We got our inspiration really from the name. The idea of a fennec fox came to mind,” Wen explained. “She’s tricky, and yet she’s able to maneuver and survive, and be stealthy -- so very graceful and agile. I just love that whole image with the name.” She added that her loyalties were only to herself, which we see in the episode, and that she would do or say anything to survive. "Thinking that she's a mercenary, it can go either way," Wen said. "She is definitely someone who's loyal to herself."

Star Wars Director J.J. Abrams Reveals What Surprised Him Most in The Last Jedi

The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker writer-director J.J. Abrams says the “biggest surprise” in the Rian Johnson-directed middle chapter of the sequel trilogy, The Last Jedi, was the death of chromium-plated Stormtrooper leader Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie). The high-ranking First Order officer was defeated in a scuffle with ex-Stormtrooper turned Resistance hero Finn (John Boyega), and after Vice Admiral Holdo (Laura Dern) piloted a Resistance ship into the First Order's Supremacy, Phasma fell to a fiery death. In a new interview, Abrams says he was surprised by Phasma's death because he felt there was more to mine with the character: “Obviously, I had read the script.

It wasn’t like I just went to go see Last Jedi, but I saw what Rian was doing,” Abrams told FOX 5 DC. “What I loved about his approach was that he was just subverting expectations, everywhere you looked. And I think that maybe the biggest surprise … you think Luke dying maybe was the biggest surprise or — I guess spoiler alert — [Kylo] Ren killing Snoke, there were certain things that felt like they were… weirdly, for me, the thing that was the most surprising was Phasma dying.” The death caught Abrams off-guard because Phasma, introduced in The Force Awakens as a foil for Finn, was “one of those characters that I felt there was something else [for her to do].” For Abrams, who had the corrupted Ben Solo (Adam Driver) murder father Han (Harrison Ford), the key was having Han's death serve a purpose for both his son and budding Jedi Rey (Daisy Ridley).

Shang-Chi Star Simu Liu Was Hysterical After Landing MCU Role: “It’s Terrifying”

Simu Liu, who will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as its first leading Asian superhero when he headlines Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for Marvel Studios, admits the experience has been “terrifying” — and his initial call from the studio overseen by Kevin Feige left him “hysterical.” The Canadian actor was first announced as Marvel Comics' martial arts expert at San Diego Comic-Con in July, where Feige said the Disney-owned studio underwent “a really in-depth search to try to find somebody who will capture this character with all the dimensions that he deserves and it’s going pretty well we found him.” “It’s terrifying,” Liu said in a profile by South China Morning Post. “When I got the call from Marvel, I was crying, just hysterical, and I remember thinking immediately after, ‘Why am I crying?’ I think it was because this is such a wonderful opportunity, and my life is going to change forever. But I am going to have to say goodbye to certain parts of my life.

There’s a kind of grieving process that has to start as well.” It’s not all scary. “Kids are going to dress up like me for Halloween,” a smiley Liu said. After Liu was cast, one of the star's cheeky tweets resurfaced: in a tweet published in December 2018, Liu wrote, “OK @Marvel, are we gonna talk or what #ShangChi.” Months later, Liu replied to his own tweet with a Marvel-like joke: “Well sh*t.” “I didn’t just send a tweet and then they called,” Liu explained of the viral tweet that earned more than 62,000 likes. “[It was] a long process of phone conversations, callbacks and auditions that happened over a couple of months.” Now tasked with convincingly portraying a character who is among the most skilled fighters in the entire Marvel universe, Liu is “training very hard” under stunt coordinator Brad Allan — described as “a phenomenal martial artist who trained under Jackie Chan” — and Allan has “assembled a wonderful team around me,” Liu noted. Liu is “awesome,” Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton previously told MTV News. “There’s just an undefined thing that when somebody pops, everybody’s in agreement, and they’re just really excited.”

How fast is Saitama? What is Saitama speed?

One Punch Man is a huge name in the Anime World. Popularity and Fan base of One Punch Man is huge – Selling almost 20 Million copies of Manga in 2019. Anime of one punch man is equally popular. It received a lot of praise for its uniqueness in character design, animation quality, humor, and fight scenes. Anime fans always find it interesting to discuss “How Powerful Saitama really is?” “Can defeat Goku?” and many more such questions are discussed among the anime fans. But one thing we never discuss is – How fast is Saitama? or what is the speed of Saitama? As a matter of fact, we know Saitama is fast. He is faster than Sonic, who is a ninja. He disappears from his enemy’s sight like a wind. Even Genous had a hard time locating him while fighting against him. But what is Saitama speed? Let’s find out.

We have enough evidence that indicates that Saitama is fast. But now the question arises – How fast? Is he faster than Sonic? Is he faster than Light? Let’s do some analysis to figure this out. Remember the Final battle of season 1? Saitama up against Boros. The battle was breathtaking and in the end, Saitama was blown away to the Moon. The very next moment Saitama jumped from the moon and landed on Earth. This happened in the blink of an eye. Let’s assume it took 1.5 seconds for Saitama to reach earth. The distance between the Earth and the moon is 384400 km. Covering 384400 km in 1.5 seconds means Saitama speed was 256266 km/ s. And that’s very very fast. But less than the speed of light. So Saitama is fast but not as fast as light. Hence proved, Saitama is not faster than light. So, what is the speed of Saitama or Saitama speed? It’s 256266km/s.

1. Sayonara No Asani Yakusoku No Hana Wo Kazarou

Sayonara No Asani Yakusoku No Hana Wo Kazarou aka Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms, released in 2018, is a compelling story with a not so common theme in a fantasy setting. The film serves as Mari Okada’s directorial debut and the first standalone feature-length film produced by P.A, a character designed by Yuriko Ishii adapted from Akihiko Yoshida’s(final fantasy Character designer) original designs and music by Kenji Kawai. Maquia, an orphaned Iorph(mystical beings who can live for hundreds of years) girl, lives with her clan peacefully, yet somehow feels lonely. Their peace is shattered when an army invades, seeking the secret to her people’s immortality. Though she manages to escape but loses her friends and home. Wandering alone in the forest, she finds Ariel, a baby boy who has lost his parents. She raises the human boy as her own in a world full of persecution and war which she knows nothing of, but she is determined to make it work somehow. The theme developed is that of the relationship of a mother and child with quite dark and matured elements. This movie, in particular, feels very long like how a 24 eps long anime does but in good way. The characters are genuine and well developed which will make you feel attached quickly. The art intertwines beautifully with the story giving the impression to have lived and grown together with the characters and that is the strength of this anime. It has a well-balanced mix of emotional moments, intense action and everyday life organized in a non-generic narrative structure. Be prepared with the tissue through. One of the best-underrated anime movies.

2. Hal

Hal, released in 2013, is a heartfelt, quiet story with full of emotions despite its short length. The animation and artworks are done with collaboration between WIT studio(known for an attack on titan) and production I.G (known for a psycho pass). RyotaroMakihara, who previously worked as a key animator on films like Summer Wars and Tekkonkinkreet. The story is set to take place in a technologically advanced society with historical Japanese setting where robots can be programmed to behave like humans. A young couple, Hal and Kurumi were supposed to board the flight together but only one passenger was able to do aboard the flight which crashed. His girlfriend, Kurumi, becomes heartbroken, shutting herself in and refusing to eat or sleep. To help her.

3. Hotarubi No Mori E

Hotarubi No Mori E aka Into the forest of fireflies’ light, released in 2011, is quite an emotional yet calm love story. It’s 44 minutes long anime made on a one-shot manga written by Yukimidorikawa, produced at the anime studio Brain’s base and directed by Takahiro Omori (known for Natsume’s book or friends). Hotaru, a young and playful girl gets lost in a forest while she is spending summer at her uncle’s countryside house. A masked human-like entity, Gin finds her who leads her out of the forest but warns her if she or any human touches him he will disappear.

4. Kimi No Suizou Wo Tabetai

Kimi No Suizo Wo Tabetai aka I want to eat your pancreas; yes it’s the name of the anime, released in 2018, is rather a predictable one with a twist, heavy-handed, genuinely unique relationship between two young people which makes it worth a watch. The story is written by Adachi Mitsuru and directed by Shin ichirō Ushijima, produced by Aniplex(known for a lot of animes such as Naruto, Angel beats and the list goes on) at studio VLON(known for Ushio no Tora). This story is about an introverted high school boy who one day finds a diary which happens to be of his classmate – and discovers that she (Sakura) has a pancreatic illness that will eventually cut her life short. Besides her family, one other person knows her secret and he promises to keep it with him. He is so withdrawn into himself that he doesn’t react to anything which helps sakura to live normally with him and in the latter part they come closer to each other. But the story does not end with her (she doesn’t die because of her illness), the time spent with sakura changed Haruki in a good way. The story is constructed to feed specific emotions and sending some important messages and with strong animation and direction, it brilliantly nails it. The real standout is definitely the music which adds to deepen the feelings which hammer home.

Anime That Killed Off the Best Character

A Brutal Truth of Anime World is that they sometimes kill off their best Characters. It’s heart breaking when your favourite or any other cool character dies. In this list, we are going to check out the shows that killed their cool or most enduring characters.

1. Akame ga Kill – Tatsumi

The cursed life of an assassin is filled with death. So it was not a surprise when the members of the night raid ended up losing their life in a battle. In the battle against the empire, nearly all members of the night raid died. We thought after the death of Mine, Bulat, Sheele, Lubbock, Susanoo, Chelsea maybe the newcomer will walk out alive. But, Tatsumi gave up his life saving innocent people.

2. Cowboy Bebop – Spike

No doubt that this nonchalant, indifferent, and lazy character was one of the coolest characters in anime history. He has witnessed more galactic weirdness than anyone else could handle. Spike was a member of the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate and he died fighting the Red Dragon Syndicate. He decided to declare a one-man war against his old organization which leads to his death. At least he went down the most dope way possible. “BANG”. That bang still give us chills.

3. Fate/Zero – Rider

The rider was an amazing character who believed in conquering his enemies by winning without killing and controlling without being disrespectful. After his noble phantasm is was destroyed by Gilgamesh’s overwhelming power the king of conquerors was left with only tow choices. Either flee or take the fight which will most certainly end with the death of the king. Being a true king, Rider chose to fight and dies like a true hero.

4. Gurren Lagann – Kamina

All of us were left with a broken heart when Kamina met his end. This young hothead who was rebellious to the core and a ladies man was the first leader of team Team Gurren. He was equally goofy and awesome. Kamina’s death made the way for Simon to rise and shine as the new face of the series. But it left us with an irreplaceable hole in our hearts.

5. Death Note – L

You couldn’t deny the fact that L was the world’s smartest and oddest detective. His intelligence left all of us speechless. His death was sad but perfectly planned by Light Yagami. We all wish L stayed a bit longer so we can enjoy the amazing brain battle going between L and Kira.

So, Which of these character’s death broke your heart the most? Let us know in the comments below and also mention other anime which killed off their main character.
